The project is led by the  Oncology Institute  of Vojvodina from Sremska Kamenica, with the Clinical Hospital Center Osijek as the project partner.

The DigiPath project is funded by the European Union with 85% co-financing from the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Croatia-Serbia 2021-2027, and the total value of the project is 564,093.17 euros. The main goal of the DigiPath project is the digitalization of pathology through the establishment of a digital and telepathology platform, which will enable more accurate and faster diagnostics, reduce geographical barriers, and improve the education of experts from both countries. Additionally, the project will contribute to the development of a joint educational and research program through the organization of workshops and scientific research.

The conference was attended by representatives of the leading and partner institutions, as well as professionals in the fields of pathology, oncology, and digital medicine. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the planned activities and expected results of the project, including scientific publications, presentations at international congresses, and long-term cooperation in the field of digital pathology.

The Oncology Institute of Vojvodina has also started procurement procedures for project management, educational activities, and online tool visibility, with the procurement of medical and IT equipment to follow soon. CHC Osijek has already completed the procurement of promotional materials and the organization of the kick-off conference, while preparations are underway for the public procurement of medical and IT equipment.

The DigiPath project brings innovative solutions to the diagnostic process, workflow optimization, and the improvement of healthcare standards in both regions.
